She made me feel so comfortable when it was time to shoot, making sure I felt good about my look, the ambiance, and was even so kind to give supportive/inspirational direction while behind the lens. She even allowed me to peak at the frames to get an idea of what they looked like and how we could work together to get the best poses and energy for the shoot. Finally, I have the profile picture I always wanted, where I could see myself in my element. Vicky Benitez is not only a professional photographer but also, she is a story teller with an incredibly good eye for details. I have enjoyed the photo shooting journey with her which started with a preparation. An email of detailed and clear instruction followed a phone call to raise my expectations of the shooting. When I arrived at her studio, everything was ready - the lights were on, the floor had the marks for me to stand, the top-notch equipment was adjusted to my height already. Her presence and music on the background played a great role for me to get into the mood. She was quick on capturing my turns and smiles. I felt good about myself under the lights with the intermittent clicks of her camera. After the shooting I was amazed by the photos. They were all good and I didn't want to eliminate any. But, what could I do with too many profile pictures? I should have a reason to come to her studio next year for new photos. We pored over the photos, discussed the story that I told, that she captured in details. She was so patient with me. We took turns and turns until we got to the final list. I didn't want to end the experience there. It didn't end. She worked on the photos that I picked diligently, artistically and delivered the best quality. Vicky has a great studio and all the tools she needs for a great shoot. She was very warm and welcoming and gave great tips throughout the shoot to get the best shot while also making jokes and keeping it entertaining. You can tell that she puts in a lot of work and effort during the shoot and processing the images. She let me see the shots on the camera as well as some of the editing and changes she did right after for my portrait/ headshots. I would highly recommend going to her for a photo shoot!
